My Fees

Past experience has taught me that the first month typically results in a higher number of hours due to learning about your business and becoming familiar with your needs. This is why I prefer to initially charge an Hourly Rate.

At the end of the first full month's service, we will be in a better place to negotiate your exact needs and determine a Fixed Monthly Rate. Or we can continue on an Hourly Basis if you prefer.

Hourly Rate/Pay As You Go

$35.00 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments. This payment arrangement is best if you want my services on a regular, ongoing and committed basis but are unable to predict how many hours per month you might need me.

Fixed Monthly Rate/Retainer Fee

This arrangement is best if you feel fairly confident about the number of hours per month you will need my services. You may choose a block of time that works best for you and pay a fixed amount each month. This method also saves you money as I'm able to reduce my hourly rate by slightly more than 10% due to the higher level of commitment to our partnership.

Should your month's work exceed the block of time you have selected, you will be billed for the extra hours (at my regular hourly rate). If you do not reach the maximum hours, the unused hours cannot be rolled over to the next month.

Examples:

  • Minimum Needs: Up to 10 hours/month
  • Typical Needs: 11-15 hours/month
  • Heavy Needs: 16-20 hours/month

The amount of the Retainer Fee will be based upon the block of time you have chosen and must be paid in advance.

Supplemental Costs

Supplemental costs such as courier charges, outside printing costs, or unique supply requests will be passed along to you.

Methods of Payment

I prefer to be paid by check, made out to Behind the Scenes Assistance or Laurie A. English. However, I will accept online payments through PayPal if this is more convenient.
